Raw Banana (Plantain) Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • Raw Banana - 4
  • Red Chillies - 6 (Adjust it per your spice level)
  • Coriander Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad Dhal - 2 teaspoon
  • Bengal Gram Dhal - 1 and 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt as required
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves - 1 String

 

Preparation:

  1. Peel Outer Skin and cut banana into thin round slices. Keep immersed in water till required
  2. Dry roast Red Chillies, Coriander Seeds, Urad dhal - 1 teaspoon, Bengal Gram dhal and pound that into coarse powder
  3. Heat the Kadai/Pan and when it is hot add oil
  4. When Oil is hot add mustard seeds and it start to splutter add urad dhal and Curry leaves
  5. Fry till Urad dhal is brown
  6. Add Cut Raw banana
  7. Add Salt, Turmeric powder and mix it well
  8. Close and let it cook till 1/2 cooked
  9. Add masala powder and mix it well. Let it cook fully. Remove from fire and serve
